HVHA is governed by a seven-member board of directors. Board members are elected at the annual meeting. The term of office is three years. Board members are paid an amount equal to the annual association dues if they attend more than half of the board meetings.

The duties of the board are to maintain the common areas and properties and enforce the conditions, restrictions, and by-laws of the Covenant.

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting between the board and the homeowners is held each April. The time and place is announced in the spring newsletter and on the website. The meeting usually is held in the public meeting room of the West Side Police Station at 1710 McKenna Boulevard.

At the meeting, the board members report to the homeowners on the year’s activities of the Board. Board member elections are held at this meeting. Homeowners may bring up any topic pertaining to the neighborhood.

Dues

Annual dues are due by December 1 of each year. The dues cover the maintenance of common areas and operating expenses of the association. About 2/3 of the dues go for snow removal. The bulk of the rest is for other common area maintenance. A full accounting is published at the Annual Meeting, and on the web site.
